Every year we usually go to look at Christmas lights with our grandkids. Our son knows all the neighborhoods to go to close to them. Nice neighborhoods that really go all out. But since moving to our little town out in the country it is a little harder to go to them because it is still a long way and very late night with us still having to work, as well as hard on the “mothers” to be out that late. Well, in our little small town there is a spot that goes all out with lights. You drive through and lights are lined on both sides of the circle drive along with wooden painted characters. There are too many to name, but Cars, Peanuts, Bluey, and penguins are just to name a few. There is a Santa sitting in a bathtub with a bubble machine to look like he is really taking a bath, and a big sasquatch. But the best thing about this little spot is that they have a large elf on the shelf, probably about a foot tall, that moves to a different spot every night. This keeps everyone in town coming back every night to find the elf. The “mothers” love it, and of course like kids make it a contest of who finds it first and who has found it the most.
Not growing up there, we do not know a lot of people. Most people that have lived there all their life know everyone else. So, I do not know who gets the credit for it. But they are amazing and put a lot of hard work in to making their little neighborhood be a great fun family activity to make a lot of memories every year. My suggestion is that if you live in a neighborhood where everyone decorates, and have a chance, this would be a great addition to incorporate into your setup.
